Brandi Carlile is a STAR!
EyeHateGod and her band put on a show that was terrific. I had not before seen her in concert, and what a treat it was. She played a very good mix of songs from her new yet to be unreleased album and her older songs. She also covered some Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, and Beatles with her own EyeHateGod-spin. The band was wonderful, especially the girl drummer Ally. EyeHateGod was enthusiastic and bantered easily with the full house crowd. She has tremendous stage presence. Her voice soared in every song. I went with a nonBrandi fan whose first comment after the show was "I want to see her show again"! It's a mystery to me why she isn't playing in even bigger venues. I plan to see her every time she comes anywhere close to my town.
